You Know How the Story Goes

Everyone knows the urban legend: pick up a hitchhiker late at night, after midnight, when you need company, and eventually the hitchhiker will disappear. This short story reverses the familiar setup, casting the reader as the hitchhiker and introducing The Tall Lady and her Prius as a new nightmare in the timeless pantheon of roadside legends, with a tunnel up ahead that changes everything.
