Synopsis

Jen Brotherhood is a devoted mother and divorce lawyer living an ordinary life in Liverpool — until the night she watches her seventeen-year-old son, Todd, stab a stranger to death on the street outside their house. He's arrested within the hour, and Jen's world collapses. That night she falls asleep in grief, certain nothing worse could happen.

Then she wakes up — and it's the day before the murder.

Each morning after that, Jen wakes a little further back in time: yesterday, then the day before, then weeks and eventually years earlier. With every leap she gets one more chance to understand why her son did what he did, and perhaps to stop it before it happens at all. As she moves backward through her own history, cracks begin to appear in the life she thought she knew, including secrets her husband has kept from her for decades.

Told as a ticking-clock mystery running in reverse, Wrong Place, Wrong Time is a high-concept psychological thriller about how well we really know the people closest to us, and how far a mother will go to save her child.
