Synopsis

Oxnard "Ox" Matheson grew up being told he wasn't worth much. Abandoned by his father and quietly written off by almost everyone, Ox keeps his head down and his heart guarded — until the Bennett family moves into the house at the end of his dirt road and changes everything. The Bennetts are loud, warm, and impossibly close, and they draw Ox into their circle as if he had always belonged there. They are also werewolves, and the youngest of them, a whirlwind of a boy named Joe, decides on the day they meet that Ox is his.

As Ox grows up inside the pack, he discovers a world of shapeshifters, territory, and the fierce loyalty of found family. Then violence shatters the Bennetts, and Joe leaves Green Creek on a hunt for the monster responsible, leaving Ox to hold together everything that remains. Years later Joe returns, no longer a boy, and the bond between them — undeniable and long unspoken — can no longer be ignored.

Wolfsong is the first novel in TJ Klune's Green Creek series: an emotional, slow-burn paranormal romance about grief, belonging, and the families we choose. Told in Ox's unmistakable voice, it blends werewolf lore and small-town atmosphere with a tender queer love story at its heart.
