Wolf to the Slaughter

Chief Inspector Wexford returns in his third case when Anita Margolis vanishes without a trace. With no body or clear crime, only an anonymous letter and a mysterious name, headquarters is hesitant to call it murder. Wexford and Inspector Burden must dig into Anita's life, discovering she is wealthy, flighty, and thoroughly immoral. Burden has his own theories, but Wexford suspects something far more complex.
