Synopsis

John McWhorter argues that a new form of illiberal neoracism, often disguised as antiracism, is detrimental to Black communities and the broader American social fabric. He suggests that this ideology has evolved into a rigid, illogical religion, complete with its own 'original sin' and 'cancel culture' for dissenters. McWhorter reveals how this new religion, despite its claims, may actually harm Black Americans through infantilization and policies that disproportionately damage their communities.
