On Christmas Eve in a large Cornwall house, four people converge: Sophia and Iris, two sisters with long histories together; their son Art; and Lux, whom they believe is his girlfriend Charlotte. What no one knows is that Art has paid Lux to impersonate her for the evening — an arrangement unraveling as both of them struggle under its weight. As a sense of impending change closes in on everyone, the house becomes a microcosm where old ties are tested and new ones unexpectedly form.
