Wind in the Ashes

Sixth in William W. Johnstone's post-apocalyptic Ashes series. Rebel leader Ben Raines, operating from a hidden outpost in the western United States, moves against the invading Russian general Striganov and the mercenary Sam Hartline after an attack on his people and the kidnapping of someone close to him. Cut off from reinforcements, Raines wages a one-man guerrilla campaign against a better-armed enemy while his scattered Rebel forces regroup to join the fight.
