In the quiet town of Willnot, Dr. Lamar Hale, the community's all-purpose practitioner, finds his world upended when human remains are discovered in the woods. Simultaneously, the enigmatic Bobby Lowndes reappears, pursued by the FBI, adding to the town's unsettling atmosphere.
