Synopsis

Adam Binder can see spirits and work small magic, though in Guthrie, Oklahoma, that has only ever been a burden. As a teenager it got him committed to an institution by a family that wanted no part of him. Now in his twenties, he gets by as a mechanic. He quietly hunts for the father who vanished when he was a boy, a man he believes was a warlock too.

The search stalls when his brother Robert, a doctor who has kept his distance for years, calls from Denver. Robert's wife Annie has been possessed by something old and violent. Every local witch who might have stopped it is already dead.

Adam drives north to help the brother who once had him locked away. He quickly becomes the spirit's next target. Surviving it means bargaining with people he would rather avoid, among them Vic, a Denver police officer who turns into something more than an ally.

White Trash Warlock opens David R. Slayton's Adam Binder series, an urban fantasy that follows a broke, self-taught psychic through a haunted city and a family that never learned how to help him.
