I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
White Ribbon came with many surprises. First of the all its my first time reading the author. The premise intrigued me, so I jumped at the opportunity to read and review.
When I picked up White Ribbon, I expected to be entertained, but what I never saw coming was the length of the book and the dreaded cliff hanger awaiting me at the end. Despite the unexpected events it proved to be a great start to The Sin series. The characters intrigued me, but the hero snagged my attention the most. From the moment of his introduction I sensed this air of mystery around him and I wanted to know more.
Already I can see that Julia is a strong heroine. The fact she is willing to walk away from her life of comfort to start over somewhere new took guts.
The story had some predictable moments, but the scene at the end did not possess an ounce of predictability. I certainly was not expecting that outcome and now I am eager to get my hands on Red Sin.
Julia has made a bigger decision than the the one she made when she left everything behind. A decision that is sure to have quite a rippling effect. I am looking forward to see how this event will play out.
Conclusion/Recommendation
Overall, White Ribbon was an interesting read, which featured intriguing characters and will leave you hankering for more.
