Where Peace Is Lost

Five years after losing everything in the war against the Pale Empire, Kelana Gardavros lives quietly as a refugee on the fringes of civilization, hiding the fact that she once served in an Order whose military arm was destroyed and scattered. When a dormant Pale war machine reactivates near her adopted home of Loth, threatening to level the region, two offworlders arrive claiming they can shut it down.

Suspicious of their timing, Kel is pulled back into the fight when her young friend Lunna volunteers to guide them through the wilderness — forcing Kel to decide whether to trust strangers with a secret she's spent five years burying. A space opera about found family, hidden pasts, and the weapons a war leaves behind.
