It's subversive and unique, and since I dived in blindly, I wasn't expecting any of the things that kept happening. My idea about it was that it's a book about two friends, which it is if one wants to limit this book, but it's a dark and twisted friendship but weirdly, barely toxic! (Or it might be toxic but I'm too blinded by modern literature which is making toxic behavior very hazy) \nThe two FMC, Marie and Sadie were instantly attracted to each other despite being polar opposites in everything, and their lives revolved around each other! \n\nTheb, to my great surprise this wasn't just what the story is about!
