When the Tides Held the Moon

In turn-of-the-century New York, Benigno “Benny” Caldera, an orphaned Puerto Rican blacksmith, finds his life transformed after creating an ironwork tank for a Coney Island sideshow. He joins the show's eclectic crew and discovers his tank is a cage for a living merman, Río, stolen from the East River. As Benny gets to know Río, their friendship deepens into an unexpected love, leading Benny into uncharted emotional waters.
