Synopsis

In 1930s Appalachian West Virginia, Colman Harpe, a railroad worker who longs to preach, finds his faith tested when a rival clan's violence ignites a family feud. Despite his family's desire for revenge, Colman chooses peace, only to hear God call him to preach to his enemies. Stranded in hostile territory and nursed by an outcast herbalist, Colman must navigate the iron grip of the clan matriarch and his uncle's thirst for power, discovering that evil often hides in unexpected places.
