Synopsis

Margaret Cadmore, a young Masarwa woman, arrives in the remote village of Motabeng, Botswana, to teach. Her presence challenges the deeply ingrained prejudices and social structures of the community, particularly concerning the Masarwa people. As she navigates this new world, she finds herself entangled in a complex relationship with Maru, the heir to the village chieftaincy, and his brother Moleka, forcing a confrontation with tradition and personal desires.
