American children's illustrator and writer Eric Carle (June 25, 1929- 23 May, 2021) was a children's book author and illustrator, most famous for his book The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which has been translated into over 30 languages. Since The Very Hungry Caterpillar was published in 1969, Eric Carle has illustrated more than seventy books, many best sellers, most of which he also wrote, and more than 71 million copies of his books have sold around the world.

Susan Jeffers (March 3, 1938 – October 27, 2012) was an American psychologist and author of self-help literature.

Steven Kellogg is an author and illustrator who has contributed 90 books for children. He is best known for writing books about animals, which he credits his grandmother for. He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut to Robert E. and Hilma Marie (Johnson) Kellogg, and his love of writing and illustrating earned him a place at the Rhode Island School of Design.
