W. H. Pugmire (1951-2019) was an American writer of Lovecraftian weird fiction, based in Seattle. Born William Harry Pugmire, they took the middle name Hopfrog after Poe's story and also published as Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire. Most of their fiction is set in the invented Sesqua Valley; S. T. Joshi called them the prose-poet of the horror field.
