Synopsis

When Detroit Free Press reporter Elizabeth Balsam loses her job, she finds herself with time to fulfill a strange request: deliver an old camera and photos to a relative she didn't know. At her great-aunt's 150-year-old farmhouse, Elizabeth uncovers mysterious items, locked doors, and hidden graves. As she searches for answers, she discovers the remarkable stories of two women from different eras, intertwined with the hard realities of racism and family secrets.
