We are still tornadoes
Set in 1982, lifelong friends Scott Agee and Cath Osteen have grown up across the street from each other. Cath helped Scott with his English homework; he made her mix tapes. Now they've graduated high school, and Cath is off to college while Scott stays home pursuing his musical dreams. Told entirely through their letters, cards, and notes, the novel follows their first year apart as they navigate heartache, an annoying roommate, family drama, and the pressure of figuring out what to do with the rest of their lives.
Scott's letters are mostly light and funny, but grow more serious after an unexpected loss. Through it all, Cath and Scott realize the person they most want to turn to is each other — and start to wonder if that means something more.
Stays in his hometown after graduation, working toward his musical dreams.
Leaves for college, navigating dorm life and her first serious romance away from home.
