Synopsis

Walking Dead is a 2016 graphic novel by Greg Rucka and Ed Benes, a standalone horror story set in a zombie apocalypse. The narrative is told through a dual-timeline structure: Tess and her husband struggle to survive in a city overrun by the undead in the present, while flashbacks reveal the events leading up to the outbreak. The book is a tense, claustrophobic survival thriller with a dark, gritty tone, and it is unrelated to the television series of the same name. The story builds dread through the constant threat of the undead and the psychological toll of the outbreak on the characters.
