Synopsis

Before they became legends, the future members of Vox Machina were six strangers chasing separate jobs through the muck and corruption of Exandria. In the grimy swamp town of Stilben, half-elf twins Vax'ildan and Vex'ahlia look into a mysterious affliction spreading among the townsfolk, only to cross paths with a young druid named Keyleth who suspects the so-called curse is a deliberate poisoning of the water. Elsewhere, the silver-tongued bard Scanlan Shorthalt and the hulking barbarian Grog Strongjaw are busy clearing a fish god's temple as part of a mercenary crew. As their jobs collide, these mismatched mercenaries, rogues, and wanderers are forced to work together against a threat larger than any of them bargained for. Adapted from the early days of the hit tabletop role-playing series, this graphic novel charts how an unlikely band of misfits first met, bickered, and fought side by side. Full of humor, brawls, and the messy beginnings of friendship, it lays the foundation for the heroes who would go on to shape the fate of a world.
