Virgin Queen's Daughter
Synopsis
When Nell de Lacey was five, she made a childish attempt to rescue the young Princess Elizabeth during a visit to the Tower of London. Eleven years later, Elizabeth is queen, Nell's father is dead, and Nell is sent to court as a maid of honor. Flame-haired and quick-witted, Nell is a near mirror of Elizabeth both in looks and in intellect, a resemblance that reignites a dangerous old rumor about nine unaccounted-for months in the queen's past.
As factions in Elizabeth's court maneuver to use Nell against her, Nell must decide how far she will go to protect the woman who may be more than her sovereign.
