Synopsis

"Vier verrückte Schwestern voll verknallt" is the German title for "The Exiles in Love", the third and final book in Hilary McKay's Exiles trilogy. Ruth, Naomi, Rachel, and Phoebe are back for one more chaotic summer, but this time romance enters the picture as the sisters navigate their first real crushes alongside their usual reading obsessions and family bickering.

McKay closes out the trilogy in the same register as the first two books — fast, funny sibling dialogue, farcical misunderstandings, and an underlying warmth between family members who drive each other constantly up the wall. The comic tone stays firmly on the sisters' side even as the subject matter shifts from summer boredom to first love.

The German edition, translated for dtv and illustrated by Susann Opel-Götz, completes the trilogy that began with "Vier verrückte Schwestern".
