Vera Wong is one of my favourite fictional characters and I hope to be half as cool as her when I am older. She is so funny, sweet and sassy and her grandmotherly love for her found family just warms my heart. 

Jesse Q. Sutanto has such a gripping writing style, and I just can't get enough. I love the attention that she gives to side characters. A lot of books I don't dislike the side characters, but I normally don't really care for them either. But in Vera Wong, they are everything. 

This book made me laugh, smile, cry and laugh again all at the same time. I was invested from the first page, and it was just as good as the first (very rare). 

It doesn't matter what your normal genre of choice is, this should be at the top of your TBR!
