Let's pretend the typical "girl in boy disguis"trope isn't what we always wish it was: a gender nonbinary historical romance.
We all know it's much better. Pretty sure it's why I loved this book and loved the MCs.
Robin is not playing at being a man, Robin just is. And Allistair (love this name btw) a starchy bisexual grump whose entire worldview gets wrecked as he realizes he's falling for someone who refuses to be put in a box. The gender feels?? So much better than regular feels.
And really loved the audiobook with Joel Leslie. I'm so picky with male narrators and he is a new favorite.
