Synopsis

Savannah loves romance novels and has no illusions that life imitates them. Friends do not become lovers, fake dates do not become real, and billionaires do not, as a rule, have carved abs. She considers herself a realist, and she considers herself firmly undateable where her friend and co-worker Gavin Clements is concerned.

So when Gavin asks her to play his date at his sister's engagement party, she says yes as a favour and expects nothing. One evening of pretending later, she is learning exactly how friends become lovers, and how badly a realist can misjudge her own story.

A short, spicy, warm-hearted rom-com from Lauren Blakely written with Lili Valente, expanded from a novella and set in the Happy Endings world, and fully readable on its own.
