Synopsis

On the planet Eaiou, a mysterious illness is striking down the cat-like inhabitants and spreading to human visitors. Dr. McCoy is desperate for a cure, but it's Uhura who holds a forgotten key: ancient, forbidden songs. These melodies hint at the Eaiouans' true origins, leading Uhura and Spock on a perilous journey to a distant homeworld, hoping to find a remedy before it's too late.
