I think this is my favorite from the series. Is it my favorite dark romance book? Nope, but since my previous experiences with Hooked and Scarred were not pleasant I’m really surprised about this one. I knew I had to give Jaff… I mean, Julian… a chance.
I feel somewhat indecisive about the rating that I am going to give it because there were many things that I liked but they were always overshadowed by others. I liked the characters, but Yasmin felt a bit too naive at times, trusting people even though their future betrayal was very predictable. The story was too slow in the beginning and then rushed at the end. I was excited at the amount of action in the last quarter but was expecting more at the prologue. And even though my favorite part about this series is the references, the antique was a bit forced to me.
But in general, I think it was okay, not something I’ll remember forever but I enjoyed it. And this time I feel excited about the next book.
