Twist

Irish journalist Anthony Fennell is sent to cover the story of the world's underwater fiber optic cables, a journey that takes him to the west coast of Africa. There, he uncovers the raw human labor behind the technological world and meets John Conway, a mysterious engineer and freediver. As a series of major cable breaks sends them further out to sea, both men confront how the very news carried by these cables threatens to unravel their own lives. They are forced to grapple with elemental questions of love, loss, and belonging in a fractured world.
