This was so cute omg 😍😍 I went into this mainly for the romance. My knowledge about Dungeons & Dragons is very limited and I’m not familiar with Critical Role (guess I have to watch those campaigns now tho I don’t have a choice 😂), but that honestly didn’t matter. The book works really well without that knowledge. I’m sure I missed a few references here and there, but I never felt lost.

Guinevere and Oskar were so cute omg 🥹. I was giggling every time they had a scene together. I LOVE a grumpy, quiet man who’s actually the biggest sweetheart, and Oskar delivered. The way he slowly started opening up because of Guinevere had me smiling the whole time. Guinevere was also such a fun main character. I loved seeing her slowly realize that she deserved more than the life everyone else had planned for her. She had way more backbone than people gave her credit for.

I also really liked the adventure part! It wasn’t just them walking from point A to point B. There was always something happening, and I never got bored. The fantasy wasn’t hard to follow either, which I really appreciated because, again… I know basically nothing about this world 😂. this was just a super fun, cozy romantasy that had me kicking my feet. Now I kind of want to dive into Critical Role because if this is what came out of that world, I need more.
