I’m not gonna say that this was life-changing for me, nor did it carry the weight one might expect such a book to have. But still, it had its charm. A “thesis” written by a student, a compilation of Tuesday conversations and other memories shared with a teacher. The fact that it was based on a true story played a major role in getting to me and tugging at my heart. Making peace with oneself, learning how to detach, the importance of love, what matters most when your days are numbered: these are but a few of the topics to come across as you read this book. But…I wasn’t satisfied. Sometimes it got a bit repetitive, a bit cliche idk how to pinpoint it exactly, but it was, overall, too simple for my taste. I feel like it’s an easy read, packed with emotions, yes, but that’s pretty much it. No major life lessons learned. But it is a heartwarming story to read about a student and his teacher.
