True Raiders

In 1909, British nobleman Monty Parker embarks on a secret expedition to find the fabled Ark of the Covenant, spurred by a dare from Ava Astor. This true story, which inspired 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' follows Monty and his eclectic team—a Finnish scholar, blueblood adventurers, a psychic, and a Franciscan father—as they undertake a clandestine excavation outside Jerusalem. Drawing on newly uncovered records and translated sources, this book unearths a forgotten tale of adventure and mystery, exploring the intersection of fact, faith, science, and romance.
