True North

True North offers a philosophical exploration of the symbolic and experiential significance of the North, particularly in contrast to the Mediterranean region. Drawing on mythology and the works of influential Finnish architects like Tapio Wirkkala and Alvar Aalto, Juhani Pallasmaa examines how landscape and cultural identity shape human perception and architectural expression. This book delves into the profound connections between place, myth, and the human condition.
