Synopsis

A one-act play set in a rural Iowa farmhouse where two women (Mrs. Hale, Mrs. Peters) discover evidence of abuse against their neighbor Minnie Wright while the sheriff and county attorney investigate her for murdering her husband — the title refers to what men dismiss as "trifles" that actually contain the proof of motive.
