When service dog trainer Ella Grace's childhood crush, hockey player Luke Tanner, returns to Snowhaven, Alaska with his orphaned, hearing-impaired niece, Bethany, Ella offers her help. She volunteers to train a deaf puppy to be Bethany's companion, bringing comfort to the little girl.
