Tough Love

Tough Love opens Alexandra Banks's Rosewood Ranch series. Hudson Rawlins keeps to himself, working his family's Montana cattle ranch and avoiding entanglements. Addy Howard is the newly arrived, temporary equine veterinarian covering Lewistown for six months, assigned as ride-along vet for the ranch's demanding annual muster.

Addy hasn't ridden since a fall during Olympic show-jumping qualifiers ended her competitive career, and the muster forces her back into the saddle - and into Hudson's daily orbit. What starts as friction between a closed-off rancher and a vet just passing through develops into something neither of them planned on, set against the rhythms of ranch life and a close-knit family of brothers.
