I never read Eragon, so the fact that this book is the same author's first foray into adult Science Fiction/Fantasy was not a factor in me deciding to read it (if I'm honest, the title and cover did most of that heavy lifting!) Nevertheless, this was a truly fantastic read.

Kira's growth throughout was one of the better character arc's I've read in a while, and the ending sequences were up there with anything Sanderson has written in so far as pure epic-ness. Definitely recommend!
