What did I just read?! That was my first thought when I finished this book. This is a dark rom-com with both the FMC and MMC being morally gray serial killers. They don’t just kill anyone; they target those who have committed gross injustices. Rue and Hugo are vigilantes who wear masks and happen to stumble upon each other when they have a mutual person on their kill list. Rue gives her new vigilante justice friend the nickname Gomez, while Gomez gives Rue the nickname Morticia. What they don’t know is that they’re also neighbors!
There was non-stop action and I was entertained throughout. It was also quite spicy. Not knowing each other’s true identities makes them even more daring as they continue to interact and cross their own boundaries. It was fun watching the story unfold. If you’re into dark romance with a side of laughter, this is for you!
