I like strong and resilient FMCs and Abbie is the opposite of that. She’s jealous, insecure, and desperate. She gave me Kelsey vibes from Not So Meant to Be but at least Abbie is not a bitch.
And while Kelsey was a spoiled brat, Abbie was a doormat who was willing to settle for any crumbs anyone gave her. She was so impressed with everything Damien did, when a lot of it was the bare minimum a man should be doing for a woman. Bringing you flowers? Driving you home instead of allowing you to take public transportation? That’s something every man should be doing! It made me angry that she thought she was so worthless and allowed Richard to make her feel that way even after they’d already broken up.
And the constant Damien/Richard comparisons and her apologizing for everything. This woman needs some standards.
