Timeless #1 jumps to a bleak possible future where Khonshu has remade the Immortal Moon Knight into an unstoppable god-king ruling over a conquered Earth. Standing against him is Power Man, a composite hero built from the unstable combined powers of the Sentry, the Hulk, and Iron Fist — his fight against Khonshu's forces spilling from Earth to the surface of the Moon.

Anchoring the battle is a flashback to the friendship between Luke Cage and Danny Rand, the "Heroes for Life" whose bond underlies Power Man's existence, while the issue also seeds glimpses of the storylines Marvel would build toward in the following year.
