Synopsis

A modern love story, Thursdays in the Park is a compelling, supportive and warm novel about a woman who finds herself at a crossroads in her life. Jeanie is 59, and has been married to George for over thirty years. They have a comfortable life, a lovely home, and a beautiful granddaughter, Ellie. But George has decided that they are now too old for sex, and has moved into the spare room. Jeanie is not ready to be put on the shelf, and feels rejected and lonely. When she takes Ellie to the park, she meets Ray, a handsome and charming man who is also looking after his grandson. They strike up a friendship, which soon blossoms into something more. But Jeanie is torn between her duty to her husband and her desire for a new life with Ray. Will she have the courage to follow her heart?
