Synopsis

In Erik Larson's "Thunderstruck," two seemingly separate stories collide at the dawn of the 20th century. One follows Guglielmo Marconi, the visionary inventor racing to perfect wireless communication against all odds. The other tracks Hawley Crippen, a man on the run after a shocking murder, whose escape is aided by the very new technology Marconi is developing. Larson masterfully weaves these narratives together, creating a suspenseful account of crime, innovation, and a world on the brink of dramatic change.
