of "This Is How You Lose Her" by deleted_258","(Khaled Hosseini rated this with 4 stars so i have to read this)

This is a book about Yunior. I heard about him from Drown before, and Yunior surely have a lot of relationship experiences in here-- from bittersweet to lovely to sad ending to losing love to "we are just friends". I enjoyed every piece though I need my Spanish dictionary sometimes (not that much help anyway).

I like Flaca a lot. On how narrator tells the story-- that "you're the only person I've ever met who can stand a bookstore as long as I can" is somewhat lovely. I think Mr. Narrator really love that girl.

The Pura Principle-- mother's love, and I am getting annoyed at Rafa's behavior (was already annoyed at him in "Nilda") and Pura to the extreme, but I don't know-- the story is kind of unfair and heartbreaking but there's sweetness about it that I can't explain. I understand Yunior a lot, but that's that.

Invierno-- family stuff with winter all over it. A bit 'cold' and irritated, but love Yunior's storytelling. Love the ending too, though it feels like something's missing.

The last two stories are my favorite as well. I feel like Yunior at his slump, being devastated at a point. (take care, Yunior!)

I love Diaz's writings. It was simple, playfulness way in describing Yunior being the main character and an everyday dude-- dealing with experiences, love stories, pressures, traumas, and mostly family matters. Male point of view, mostly.

I don't think all would love this kind of relationship stuff collection, but I love it somehow. Such a great book (if you don't mind those Spanglish stuff).",3,"none","rv-01kr84zmzz6adccwetg1fec5ye",[],"2026-05-10T05:15:27.000000Z
"https://api.seekquel.app/api/works/01kpehgn9nseg7cxgkm3e26bqj/reviews",20]
