Synopsis

During World War II, Jan and Antonina Żabiński, the directors of the Warsaw Zoo, secretly sheltered hundreds of Jews and Polish resistance fighters within their bombed-out zoo. Amidst the devastation of the Holocaust, Antonina used her unique understanding of animal behavior to create a safe haven, transforming cages and tunnels into hiding places. This true story reveals an extraordinary act of courage and compassion in the face of unimaginable brutality.
