It was very funny. Lady pirates with flying houses, deathly but never missing etiquette and delicacy. I think you need to be in a certain specific mood to understand and like the humor because it’s more of an absurd parody of the Victorian period with magic and pirates. It can be too much at some points, but if you go in expecting this, it becomes funny and silly rather than stupid.
Maybe if it was shorter I would’ve enjoyed it more. I feel like the last conflict wasn’t necessary and there were times when I didn’t like Cecilia that much.
But it's a very original story, I mean not everyday you get to read about flying houses with cannons that tear each other apart or refined victorian ladies with murderous tendencies.
