Brian Herbert (born June 29, 1947, in Seattle, Washington) is an American science fiction author and the son of Frank Herbert, creator of the Dune series. Since 1999 he has co-written numerous New York Times bestselling Dune prequels and sequels with Kevin J. Anderson, expanding his father's universe.
