The Wild Card is book 2 of The Dugout series. The audio features a full cast of narrators that definitely brought this story to life. As soon as I got this audiobook, I immediately started it and before I knew it, I was over halfway through it. After listening to The Hotshot, I knew I needed to read the next one in the series and it did not disappoint. I’m officially hooked on this series. It’s such a great story that keeps evolving and adding in new characters with every book. In The Wild Card, we still have many of the same characters from the first book, but this book is centered around Callie and Foster.
I cannot help but love the chemistry and banter between Callie and Foster. Their whole dynamic is perfect. I had so many warm, fuzzy feeling moments in this book that made my heart so happy. The scene where Hayes is giving Foster a pep talk about Callie was the biggest one. The minorish cliffhanger pertaining to Foster and Decker’s family situation really left me speechless, I want to know what happened with it. This audiobook is pure delight listening to with a full cast of narrators that bring every character to life. Definitely recommend the audiobook!
Thank you Valentine PR and Piper Rayne authors for the opportunity to listen to this advanced copy audiobook to give my own personal opinion review of it.
