The Wicked and the Willing
In 1927 colonial Singapore, maidservant Gean Choo finds herself entangled in a dangerous love triangle at Ambrosia Hall. She is drawn to both her demanding vampire mistress and the gruff majordomo who serves her. As passion and loyalty intertwine, Gean Choo must navigate a world of seduction and violence, knowing that one of the women she loves may pay the ultimate price.
The narrative concludes with two mutually exclusive endings, allowing the reader to choose the final outcome for the protagonist.
The perspective shifts between three different characters throughout the book, providing insight into the motivations of the maidservant, her mistress, and the majordomo.
It was the recipient of the 2023 Lambda Literary Award for LGBTQ+ Speculative Fiction and the 2023 Golden Crown Literary Award for Paranormal/Occult/Horror.
