Synopsis

This collection presents David Wojnarowicz's early autobiographical fiction, featuring short monologues from the diverse individuals he met while traveling across America in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Encountering street hustlers, hitchhikers, and other outsiders in bus stations and back alleys, Wojnarowicz captures their intimate, often desperate, interactions. The stories reveal the humor, struggle, and shared spirit of adventure among those living precariously on the streets, before the AIDS epidemic.
