Lord Ruthven, magnetic, charming, full of vices, corrupts young virgins and snatches them from life, lusts for bllod and ironic revenges.. he is every vampire that exists in literature (with the exception of Twilight's sparkly boys). Aside from this, there is nothing much impressive about this story, though it's a must read for all the vampire literature lovers since this is the tale that paved the way for the whole genre.
